ABOUT US

Well-known singer, Maggie Moone, of ITV's "Name That Tune" television fame in the 1980's, has teamed up again with ex-singing partner Mo Rivers to revive some of the memorable and nostalgic songs which were so popular during wartime years.

There are many wartime albums available on the music market, but what makes this concept different, and perhaps even unique, is the contemporary dance style treatment of the songs .... no less than 34 within 15 compositions.  (See Album Content).  This is a real party album ... from the minute you hear the first song and title track "As Time Goes By", your feet will be tapping right through to a jolly sing-a-long of ten familiar old favourites such as "Lambeth Walk", "It's A Long Way To Tipperary" and "Run Rabbit Run".

JONATHAN DEWSBURY AND DAVID SAYLOR, JD MUSIC

Talented musicians, Jonathan Dewsbury and David Saylor, of JD Music, Birmingham, had worked with Maggie on previous albums, and they were Maggie's first choice when it came to putting the project together.  "Jonathan and Dave are so talented, both as musical arrangers and musicians.  Dave also has a phenomenal voice and so we knew we could rely on him to come up with some great backing vocals" said Maggie.  "I knew that they would interpret what I was trying to achieve, and at the same time contribute hugely with their own musical ideas.  With Mo's lovely harmonies, we worked very well as a team".

ANTHONY M WILLIS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Maggie and Mo both agree that it is the support and enthusiasm of Executive Producer Anthony (Tony) Willis that has made it all possible.  In 2005, fate brought Tony into Mo's life, and he suggested that she and Maggie get back together again to record an album.  The concept of a modern day revival of war-time songs was born.  "We couldn't wait to perform the wonderful songs by the great composers that inspired so many and helped keep morale high during the period between 1915 and 1945.  That, coupled with an absolute love of dance music seemed the perfect combination" said Maggie.

HISTORY - MAGGIE & MO

Maggie Moone and Mo Rivers sang together in the 1970's as "The Dee-Lights" and had a very successful six month spell of singing engagements, including shows for the Forces and a contract in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).   Despite being in demand, the act split when Mo decided to live in South Africa.

Maggie went on to win "New Faces" and was discovered by hit song-writers Don Black and Geoff Stephens and TV fame followed.  (see Maggie Moone)  Mo later returned to the UK and has enjoyed a successful career in modelling, singing and acting - appearing in musicals and theatre productions, as well as TV commercials and soaps.
